How We Are Paid
We work on the basis of clear transparent fees, as we offer bespoke advice we will confirm the exact services we will provide and the costs for your particular needs in an engagement letter before we commence chargeable work but in general our fees work as follows:
Initial meeting
We offer an initial meeting at our offices at our expense – allowing us to discuss your situation and how we might work together.
If you wish the initial meeting to be at another venue there may be a modest charge for travel, meeting room hire etc.
Advice and reports
For most clients we will prepare one of our Financial route planner reports to give an overview of your current financial situation and how likely you are to meet your financial goals and how our recommendations may improve your position.
There are also likely to be specific reports on areas such as pensions and investments giving specific advice.
These reports can be charged to you directly and fees are likely to be from £750 to £1,500 depending on the complexity, the exact fee will be disclosed in your engagement letter. As an alternative to paying this fee directly most clients opt to have this included in the implementation of your plan.
Implementation
Where we implement our recommendations setting up financial arrangements and portfolios we will make an initial charge typically 1-2% of the amounts involved and we can add the report fee cost into this % as required.
All products are set up on a nil commission basis or where commission has to be paid this will be 100% disclosed and offset against the implementation fee agreed.
Review
We feel that an ongoing relationship is very important and at outset we will agree a review procedure and review fee. For this you will receive our 12 point annual review service, see attached.
We normally express the review fees as a % of the funds being managed, depending on the size and complexity of your affairs a review fee will normally be between 0.5% and 1% p.a. with a minimum fee of £500 and a maximum fee of £10,000.The fee is normally deducted on a monthly basis directly from your portfolio again any commissions or fund rebates are used to offset the costs.
